The Saga Ends
A few of my housemates and I went to see the final episode of Star Wars last night. We bought tickets a week or two ago and waited in line last night to get good seats. We arrived around 7:30 or so for the 12:30 showing on one of the few digital screens in boston.
It was quite the spectacle. We met several Jedi, reporters, Chewbacca, a guy insisting "Han Shot First" (only you REAL geeks will get that one), and (Ryan, you'll like this one) Miss Massachusetts herself. That's right, the current reigning Miss Massachusetts was in line next to us.
How did it happen? We ran into one of the guys from my hall at MIT (Louis B for those of you PTZ alums) and he was with a couple of girls he knows from MIT. As we were talking, it came out that one of them was Miss Massachusetts. At one point she said something like, "Yeah, I know you wouldn't guess it to look at me," but you know what really tipped me off? Her insanely white teeth. :)
I've got several fun photos from the evening, but unfortunately no photos of Miss Massachusetts (Sorry Ryan. There is a Wookie to look at, man. Does that make it better?). At the time, I felt like I should be wearing one of those "I'm blogging this" t-shirts.
About the Movie
I'll try not to spoil anything for those of you that have not yet caught a showing of "Revenge of the Sith." All I will say is that it's worth seeing. Yeah, you should go see it. And if I can offer one word of advice, sit somewhere in the middle of the theater and not near the front. It will become clear in the first 20 minutes why you'll want seats a bit farther back. keep in mind this is one of the new generation Star Wars movies, so adjust your expectations accordingly. You know acting is going to be pretty painful along with some cheesey lines, but the action, visuals, and sound will rock. This movie is also the first Star Wars movie to be PG-13, and it deserves it. It's dark. I mean dhaaaark. If you have problems with nightmares, make sure to shut your eyes pretty often. Other than that, enjoy the show, and let me know what you thought.

Time Traveler Convention
No joke. One of the guys from my hall in college at MIT got this rolling:
This was featured on NPR, and you can listen to the mp3 here. It's not bad, but I'm not to sure Amal knows he's being teased just a bit. :)
