out of my hands
this morning i turned in all of the paperwork for my reapplication to MIT. they meet either today or tomorrow to decide if they are going to let me back in. so i should know by friday for sure either way. to tell you the truth, either possibility is exciting to me.
i joined a bible study at park street cafe a week ago, and last night was our first meeting. it was a little intimidating, as i was the only new person of something like 15. we are studying romans right now (seems to be a theme in my life), and i was a bit concerned about how deep the study would go. you can easily get stuck in the theology presented in romans without ever getting to the best stuff - people opening up about how these things actually affect their lives and speaking out of their personal experience. but it turned out great. people honestly seemed to be looking for answers, and when people shared, they told about how they themselves had found answers in very real ways. the moment i left, i was already looking forward to next week's meeting. but i am looking for quite a bit more than just a good bible study. i am looking for a bit of community. so i'll give it a chance and see what happens.
i need coffee.
