unitarian cemetary
friday was a beautiful day, and i took off work a little early to take some photos. these are the result:
i am especially fond of the third. this redheaded girl was wandering around the unitarian church cemetary in harvard square where i was taking photos. she sat down in front of one of the gravestones to study it, and i took a few photos. i don't think i could have planned a photo like that.
the squirrel photo was pretty decent, tho technically imperfect, as it is backfocused just a tad. still, i had to take about 60 shots just to get that one. squirrels are just a tad high-strung (photo deleted).
saturday was house work day. we got a lot done, but i had a bad attitude about most of it. i spent most of the morning working by myself, and just allowed myself to get into a bad mood. i even snapped at a house member in the afternoon, and felt horrible about it until i apologized. just an example of who i am on the inside, when not rooted in Christ. blah. i hate that.
went to a concert of rachel loy, a good friend of a girl in the wilson house. she was fun to watch, and has a great voice. she was opening for this guy named chris williams, who was nothing short of phenomenal. i bought his live CD and will be giving it a good listen over the next week.
our guys life group (which meets at next house at MIT. we dubbed it "next life") is taking a day trip to NYC this saturday. should be a blast. still looking for a place to eat lunch. since we are having dinner at peter luger's steakhouse in the evening, i am looking for something a bit more hole-in-the-wall-ish to get more of the raw city experience. any suggestions for what else (ahem, new yorkers, ahem, helena) we should hit?

hole-in-thewall places to eat lunch...
well.. for 'quintessential' new york..
(you can find specific addresses at newyork.sidewalk.com)
nyc pizza --- joe's pizza in the village area
hotdogs... gray's papaya (72nd st one and broadway is good)
Delis are big: Katz's, 2nd Avenue, or Carnegie Deli are all really great. and cheaper than a porterhouse at lugers:)
remember to bring cash! no credit cards accepted;)
